Thank you for uploading File:Sabari-2023.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

Rama Banam moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Rama Banam, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copyvio

[edit]

Hi, ive just reviewed Samajavaragamana (film) and unfortunately most of the plot had to be removed because it was a copyvio. The plot needs to be written in your own words, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 20:58, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Important: I have had to remove more movie plots that have been copied from copyrighted web sites. I haven't looked at all of your contributions, but the pattern I observe would indicate that you have copied plots from web sites for all of your contributions. Is that the case? Note that replying to my query is not optional. -- Whpq (talk) 14:14, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Dikshit9! Your additions to Vimanam (2023 film) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:27, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tips for writing articles

[edit]

First and foremost, thank you for your work on Telugu cinema articles! Bookmyshow, Ragalahari, and Cinejosh are not reliable sources. Reviews from IMDb and Amazon are not significant. Remember to link articles in the References section (for example Cinema Express). Do not waste time creating articles with less than two reliable reviews such as Kothaga Maa Prayanam. In rare cases, two reviews are not needed if there are many production sources. Thank you. DareshMohan (talk) 14:25, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

July 2023

[edit]

Your addition to Narayana & Co has been removed or altered, as it appears to closely paraphrase a copyrighted source. Limited close paraphrasing or quotation is appropriate within reason, so long as the material is clearly attributed in the text. However, longer paraphrases which are not attributed to their source may constitute copyright violation or plagiarism, and are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Such content cannot be hosted here for legal reasons; please do not post it on any page, even if you plan to fix it later. You may use external websites or printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If you own the copyright to the text, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the copyright but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Bennv123 (talk) 11:58, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Narayana & Co, Vimanam (2023 film), and Samajavaragamana (film) have similarities when trying to explain the story or plot of the film. The rights to the story and narration belong to the production company. So I thought the reviewer's or website's copyright applied only to the judgment or analysis. :After reading Wikipedia's copyright policy and guidelines, I understand. Henceforth, I will ensure that there is no copyright infringement while writing the articles. :Please unblock. thank you.

Decline reason:

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
Copyright is a legal right belonging to the owner or creator of the work.
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
I don't understand the question, but it seems to be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution.
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
Wikipedia wants to allow everyone to use and edit information.
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
in the process of providing clear, accurate knowledge on a non-profit basis.
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?
By applying fair use factors to evaluate whether my use is fair or not, I ensure that I do not violate copyright policy by creating original and transformative works.

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 12:14, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your answers are not generally correct. Specifically, you have a completely flawed understanding of WP:FAIRUSE. Additionally, "non-profit basis" is not accurate. --Yamla (talk) 21:32, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
